The New York Times article examines President Biden’s Earth Day climate pledge to drastically reduce carbon emissions and outlines the steps the U.S. will need to take to reach Biden’s climate pledge goals.
Citing the study led by Nate Hultman of the University of Maryland, the article lays out how the U.S. could reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 51% by 2030. Study co-author, ARE Ph.D. candidate Emily McGlynn, led the land use, land use change, and forestry components of the analysis.
