Tianxia Zhou: Data Scientist II at Uber

During his last year of the Agricultural and Resource Economics Ph.D. program, Tianxia Zhou joined Uber Technologies, Inc., as a data scientist. In this role, Tianxia develops tools and methodologies to automate experimentation analytics for practitioners. The platform solution his team builds is powering data-driven decisions at Uber scale. In his dissertation, Three Essays on Residential Energy Efficiency Policy Evaluation, Tianxia applied causal inference and heterogeneous treatment effects estimation techniques to evaluate energy efficiency policies. Tianxia's dissertation committee chair is ARE Professor Aaron Smith. Dissertation committee members include ARE Assistant Professor Kevin Novan and ARE Associate Professor Katrina Jessoe.
