Ph.D. Student Emily McGlynn has been awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship. From 12,000 applicants in 2018, Emily is one of 2,000 graduate students nationwide who received the fellowship and its three years of stipend and tuition support. Emily's NSF proposal focuses on the effects of wood products, bioenergy, and carbon markets on forest owner management decisions and net carbon outcomes, looking to use new datasets under development by the U.S. Forest Service to generate empirical evidence of market effects on carbon sequestration.
