Heidi Schweizer: Assistant Professor at North Carolina State University

Heidi Schweizer will join the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at North Carolina State University as an assistant professor in August 2018. At North Carolina State, Heidi will study the economics of grain production and transportation. She will also develop a cooperative extension program focusing on supply chain management topics relevant in North Carolina. Her dissertation at UC Davis analyzes how changes in infrastructure and policy can influence domestic commodities transportation markets. Heidi's research bridges the fields of transportation and economics to contribute data-driven analyses of agricultural markets. Her dissertation co-chairs are Jeffrey Williams and Rachael Goodhue. Miguel Jaller Martelo from civil and environmental engineering is also on the dissertation committee.
