Professor Aaron Smith Co-Authors Opinion Piece in The Hill about rethinking USA's Renewable Fuel Standard Mandates

Dr. Aaron Smith, Agricultural and Resource Economics professor and vice chair, co-authored an opinion piece published in The Hill. The editorial discusses environmental effects of the Renewable Fuel Standard authorized by the 2007 Energy Independence and Security Act, and who is truly benefitting. The piece ends with "It is time for the country's renewable fuels policies to be reformed in ways that serve the public interest instead of catering to the wants of special interests."
