Emeritus Professors Honored by PROSE Awards for Ecosystems of California

Emeritus Professors Alex McCalla and Richard E. Howitt are among those honored through Ecosystems of California winning two 2017 PROSE Awards from the Association of American Publishers. The book won the Environmental Science category and the overall Award for Excellence in Physical Sciences and Mathematics. McCalla and Howitt contributed the chapter titled "Agriculture" (pp. 865-883).
Published by the University of California Press, Ecosystems of California is a reference and sourcebook providing an integrated assessment of each major ecosystem type in California.
The PROSE Awards annually recognize professional and scholarly publishing in order to bring attention to distinguished books, journals, and electronic content in 53 categories.
