Dan Scheitrum: Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona

In August 2017, Dan Scheitrum will join the University of Arizona as an assistant professor in the department of Agricultural and Resource Economics. Dan's research focuses on commodity markets and the intersection of energy and agriculture. Dan’s dissertation, "Conventional and Renewable Energy in a Transitioning Energy Landscape," is a collection of three essays on energy economics investigating the economic and environmental impact of California fuel policy, replicating the 2011 crude oil price divergence in a competitive storage model, and assessing how private storage responds to releases from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. His major professor is Colin Carter and his dissertation committee also includes Jeffrey Williams and Kevin Novan.
