Zoë Plakias: Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics at The Ohio State University

Zoë Plakias has accepted a position as an assistant professor in the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics at The Ohio State University beginning in August 2016. Zoë’s areas of research are agricultural economics and policy, industrial organization and political economy. In her dissertation, she examines the implications of various dimensions of agricultural producer heterogeneity for mandatory agricultural marketing organizations (e.g., marketing orders and check-offs) from both a theoretical and empirical perspective. Zoë’s dissertation committee members are Rachael Goodhue (Chair), Jeffrey Williams, Daniel Sumner and Dalia Ghanem.
