Gabriel Sampson: Agricultural Economics at Kansas State University
March 2, 2016
Gabe Sampson will join the Department of Agricultural Economics at Kansas State University as an Assistant Professor. Gabe is a resource economist whose research combines theoretical and empirical approaches to study spatial scale and spatial behavior in resource management. His job market paper demonstrates a reconciliation between data demands in estimating spatial econometric models and censoring of publicly available spatial datasets, and then deploys the empirical strategy to estimate gains from a spatially differentiated harvest policy in a commercial fishery. His dissertation co-chairs are Jim Sanchirico and Jim Wilen.
