Position Available: Assistant Professor of Economic Development

We seek a development economist to join the department of Agricultural and Resource Economics as an assistant professor. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a research program in the area of global poverty reduction. Applications are welcome in any area of the microeconomics of development. We especially welcome applications from individuals working at the intersection of development economics and food, health, and nutrition, as well as those working at the intersection of development economics and environmental and/or natural resource economics. Teaching responsibilities include 2-3 quarter-length courses per year including a course in the Ph.D. development economics sequence. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the appointee is expected to conduct mission-oriented research and outreach of relevance to the California Agricultural Experiment Station (AES).
