Anil K. Bhargava will join the University of Michigan in Fall 2014 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Natural Resources and Environment. His research will be part of the Forests, Trees, and Agroforestry program of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and the International Forest Resources and Institutions (IFRI) Network and contribute to comparative analyses of the links between livelihoods, food security, and tree cover, particularly in Kenya and Indonesia. It will continue a line of research stemming from his dissertation that focuses on the linkages between international development policy, rural labor use, resource conservation practices, and agricultural technology adoption. Anil's dissertation committee members are Travis Lybbert (chair), Michael Carter, Ed Taylor, and Hilary Hoynes.
