Ghada Elabed: Mathematica Policy Research

Ghada Elabed will join Mathematica’s Center for International Policy Research and Evaluation as a Researcher in their Washington, DC office in Fall 2014. Ghada is a development economist whose research combines experimental and behavioral economics to investigate the effectiveness of development interventions. Ghada’s dissertation explores the behavioral constraints to households’ participation in microinsurance and evaluates the impact of a randomized microinsurance intervention targeted to cotton producers in Mali.
