Derek Farnsworth: University of Florida

Derek Farnsworth will join the faculty in the Department of Food and Resource Economics at the University of Florida in fall 2014. Derek is an agricultural economist whose research interests include agricultural labor availability, pest management, and restrictive trade regulations. The goal of his dissertation, "Perspectives on California Berry Production," is to address production constraints faced by agricultural producers in an analytical framework. Derek's thesis committee includes Rachael Goodhue and Jeffrey Williams, (co-chairs) and Frank Zalom (Department of Entomology).
