Christopher Rue was awarded the Outstanding MS Thesis Award by the Western Agricultural Economics Association (WAEA) and an honorable mention from Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA) for his thesis "Area Yield Crop Insurance Reconsidered (Again): An Empirical Analysis of Demand for Area Yield Insurance for Rice Farmers in Peru." Christopher received these awards at the joint meetings of WAEA and AAEA held in Denver, Colorado on July 25-27, 2010. ARE Associate Professor Steve Boucher was Christopher Rue\'s major professor.
