Faculty Profile: Travis Lybbert

Travis Lybbert received his Ph.D. from Cornell University in 2004 and joined our faculty in 2006. Travis conducts research in four interrelated areas of applied economics: risk, poverty dynamics, technology, and environment. He has worked on projects in Morocco, India, and East Africa and in the Intellectual Property Division of the World Trade Organization. His current projects focus on issues ranging from the adoption of drought tolerant crops and the use of forecast information in crop disease management to international patent strategies and the use of patent policy to enforce benefit sharing through the Convention on Biodiversity.
