Collections
The AREL is the branch library for agricultural economics and resource economics. It holds over 7,000 books, 2,600 serial publications, and approximately 150,000 pamphlets and government documents. The collection includes major agricultural economics journals, cataloged books (most of which are duplicated in the Main Library's collection), and pamphlets, papers, and documents from a variety of governmental agencies and universities. It centers on California, western, and U.S. agricultural economics and natural resource economics. Suggestions for additions to the collection are welcome. Contact the library.
United Farm Workers of America Contracts
This collection provides digital access to contracts between the United Farm Workers Union AFL-CIO and California growers spanning about 30 years. The project is a collaboration between the Digital Initiatives program and the Agricultural and Resource Economics Library. The goal of the project is to provide researchers with access to a searchable and browseable collection of otherwise elusive materials. Digitization of this collection is in process.
